Orange Parade

On Friday 26th November, all the Road Patrol children from school went to the Dental School to take part in the orange Day Parade. This parade was to celebrate all the work and effort people put in being a road patroller and keeping our roads safe.

We started fron there and headed up George Street to the Octagon. There was a lot of sound coming from the band and the children waving their streamers in the air.

We had to walk to the Octagon as it was a long walk.

At the Octagon the Mayor talked to us and thanked us for the great job we had done for the year.

Next we went up to Moana pool and had lots of fun. We had 4hours there and when the time was up we got on the bus and went back to school. A big thank you to the police and DCC for putting this on for us.

Fair Play Award

Well done to Jarrad who recieved the Fair Play Award for his outstanding attitude to taking on extra responsibility around the school. He especially goes that extra mile to make sure there is always a person on road patrol. An important responsibility and service to the school.

Celebrate our success outside school

Its always good to know what else we do outside school and the success we find by doing these things. Well done to Reuben who shared with us his success he had in his latest music exams. Here Reuben showed us the two certificates he recieved . We can't wait until he plays for us again.

Great success Reuben

Jump Rope For Heart

What a great day to spend jumping. There were many different activities for each group of children to move around. Hurdles,Tug of War, Jump Jam to name a few. Our hearts were really beating fast by the time everyone had completed the activities.

Our Jump Rope afternoon saw many children showing off many of their rope skills. It has been really good to see many children practicing and playing their rope games during playtime and lunchtime.

Athletics

In class we have been looking at Jump,Run and Throw. With the jumping we looked at skills of skipping, jumping over objects and jumping through the air. Longjump was one way in which we were able to do this. Here are just some of our moves.

!!!Amber!!!

On Friday 12th of November Liam bought his ridgeback dog to school to share with the class.

Ridgebacks can survive without water for over 24hrs

Amber is scared of stairs so Liam’s mum had to carry Amber
up the stairs to rooms 4&5.

Everyone in room 5 feed her dog biscuits that she enjoyed.
She is small but confident .
